I did notice there were 'connections' for the optical cable in the back of the coin door. When I get mine I did not get to take them apart thus I was on a little treasure hunt to figure out the networking. But I'm not overly sure you need to do this.I completely removed the monitors to move the games I think there were 6 larger security torxes.then just slide the assembly forward a bit. I also think you may need to loosen the complete steering assembly and pull it forward to get the plexi out. There are 2 supporting angel pieces on the top and bottom that hold in the plexi.those need to come out From what I remember to get to the tube form the front you need to removed the security torxes from the outside of the cab that hold the 2 'screens' n the sides. What I got my daytona I had to completely dissemble them to get them in me basement. I do believe you can purchase them and best buy and such.
The cable you are talking about are just standard optical cable (for the network I'm assuming).
